The posted compensation range of $26.76 - $39.81 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Pharmacist Resident is an active participant in an intensive 12 month post-graduate year one (PGY1) training program to develop extensive knowledge and clinical skills used to provide effective pharmaceutical care. The pharmacist resident functions as a clinical pharmacist, participating in clinical, operational, and administrative activities designed to assist in applying formal theoretical education and research to clinical patient situations. The resident is responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions, is eligible for board certification, and eligible for postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training.
Job Requirements
Required:
- Graduation from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) approved school of pharmacy with a BS, MS, or Pharm D degree, including didactic courses and experiential rotations in the clinical aspects of pharmaceutical care
- Active CA Pharmacy Intern license
- BLS-CPR
- Obtain Active Pharmacist License in good standing in CA within 3 months of hire - once pharmacist license obtained, Intern Pharmacist is no longer required
Preferred:
- ACLS
