Overview

Dignity Health Mercy San Juan Medical Center is a 370-bed not-for-profit Level 2 Trauma Center located in Carmichael California serving the areas of north Sacramento County and south Placer County for more than 50 years. It is one of the area’s largest and most comprehensive medical centers. Dedicated to the community’s well-being our staff and volunteers provide excellence in care for our patients each year. Mercy San Juan Medical Center has received recognition for being a Comprehensive Stroke Center and Center of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery along with Certificates of Excellence in Perinatal Care Hip- and Knee- Replacement.


Responsibilities

The incumbent demonstrates competency in patient care for pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. May be required to direct the work of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Meets the discipline-specific productivity standard.
  • Demonstrates competence in care of patients during field observation by the clinical supervisor.
  • Completes and submits documentation following established guidelines as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
  • Physician orders are present and written correctly.
  • Documents follow up of identified problems.
  • Reviews and documents clinical progress toward goals.
  • Demonstrates coordination of care by appropriate communication with other disciplines and team members and documents that communication as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
  • Meets agency/regulatory requirements as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
  • Documents appropriate management of visit utilization and authorization status as measured by a designated evaluation tool.
  • Meets regulatory requirements for supervisory visits as measured by a designated evaluation tool.

Qualifications

Experience: 

  • Experience in a healthcare setting required. (2 Years)

Licensure:

  • Licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy. Current California driver's license, possession of automobile insurance and access to an operating motor vehicle. Current CPR card.
