Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Cardiac Nurse Practitioner, you will help the cardiac surgery patient population by providing direct health care services, synthesizing theoretical and clinical knowledge for assessment and management of health and illness states, initiating treatments, and coordinating discharge so they can receive comprehensive, effective, and continuous care that adheres to accepted health practices and standardized procedures.

Every day you will perform nursing assessments, initiate/modify treatment regimens, order physician-approved prescriptions, and provide support and counseling on disease management and wellness programs. You will be expected to document patient information with 96-98% accuracy, facilitate communication with CV surgeons and cardiologists regarding patient condition changes, and collaborate with nursing staff, educators, and case managers to ensure seamless patient progression along their care pathway.

To be successful in this role you must hold a Master's degree in Nursing, be a certified Nurse Practitioner, and have experience as an acute care Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner. You must also be a Registered Nurse Practitioner: CA (RNP:CA), possess current Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, and maintain a Drug Enforcement Administration-Control Sub Reg Cert.

We are offering  a $15,000 Sign On Bonus to new h ires who meet the eligibility requirements.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
  • Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioner, and certification as a nurse practitioner
  • Provider number (NPI)
  • Eligible to apply for furnishing and DEA license in order to prescribe medications within approved standardized procedure
  • BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • ACLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Master’s degree in nursing

Preferred

  • Experience as an acute care Cardiovascular Nurse Practitioner
  • Acute Care NP Certification
