Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Special Proc Technologist, you will be a vital clinical professional, applying specialized X-ray energy for patient diagnosis or treatment. Every day, you'll meticulously perform complex radiological procedures and techniques, producing high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners. You'll ensure patient safety, comfort, and accurate positioning, operating advanced equipment with precision and upholding imaging standards. To be successful, you'll combine strong technical expertise with exceptional attention to detail, a deep understanding of radiation safety, and a compassionate, patient-focused approach, contributing to accurate diagnoses and effective treatment.
Job Requirements
- Five (5) years experience.
- Medical Radiographer CA.
- Basic Life Support from AHA.
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT (RTR).
- Technologist displaying competency in general radiology in addition to two other modalities.
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology for Imaging including cross sectional relationships, medical terminology relating to Imaging procedures, principles of operation and care of x-ray machines and accessory equipment.
- Currently accepted diagnostic radiology and special procedures training, radiation safety requirements and practices for the operator, patient and public, image processing systems, mechanical and electrical safety practices and requirements in the patient examination environment, preparation, use and hazards of diagnostic contrast materials.
