The posted compensation range of $43.37 - $47.95 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Qualifications
Requirements:
Five (5) years experience in a histology laboratory that results in demonstrated proficiency in all phases of histologic technique.
- Requires ASCP registration as a Histotechnologist
- Current Histotechnologist
Ability to:
- Work as a team to meet the team goals and objectives.
- Work effectively under stress and adjust priorities as circumstances require.
- Maintain a high degree of accuracy.
- Treat co-workers, patients, visitors, and the public with dignity and respect.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all hospital personnel and medical staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality.
- Problem-solve effectively. Work a flexible schedule and be willing to work additional hours if needed for the provision of quality patient care.
Knowledge of:
- Skills in the preparation, embedding, cutting, and staining of tissue specimens,
- Anatomic Pathology terminology and histology equipment, proper gross examination procedures.
B.S. in Biological Sciences preferred.
