Responsibilities

In collaboration with leadership, management and Children's Center providers, this position acts as facilitative agent for key initiatives of patient care. This position will help facilitate patients building relationships with their providers and work with others to help organize team efforts directly related to patient care and education. The position is responsible for providing patients with education regarding the mental health environment and providing direct support to staff and providers as they interact with patients to ensure provision of the highest quality patient service. The main objective of this position is to help maximize enrollment (new patients and retention of current patients) through improved customer service, patient satisfaction, an patient and caregiver education.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience of having received mental health services as a child and/or current or previous experience as a family member of a child receiving mental health services.
  • High school diploma or equivalent. Complete the Peer Certification and pass the test within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid California drivers license, car insurance and dependable transportation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently. Computer literacy. Ability to interact effectively with Children's Center personnel, other Children service agencies and Sacramento County personnel. Knowledge of community mental health resources. Basic office skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years experience in a Mental Health setting
