Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you a skilled ground professional with a passion for transforming outdoor spaces? Mercy Medical Center seeks a dedicated Groundskeeper to maintain our beautiful landscapes, ensuring an inviting and healing environment for all.

What You'll Do:

  • Landscape Maintenance: Prepare terrain, apply fertilizers, seed/sod lawns, mow, trim, and repair lawns. Prune trees, trim shrubs, cultivate, plant, and weed gardens/flowerbeds.
  • Plant Health: Spray plants and apply nutrients for optimal growth.
  • Irrigation Expertise: Install, maintain, and design sprinkler systems.
  • Equipment Care: Inspect and perform minor repairs on grounds equipment (mowers, weed eaters, tractors, etc.).
  • Team Support: Recordkeeping, deliveries, and assisting with employee training as needed.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 7am - 4pm


Job Requirements

We're Looking For You If:

  • Experienced: High School Graduate/GED. Proficient in operating powered equipment (lawn/garden tractors, ditch trenchers, backhoe). Small Caterpillar tractor experience (Preferred).
  • Licensed Driver: Valid Oregon Driver's License with a clear driving record.
  • Communicative: Strong written/oral communication and basic math skills
  • Knowledgeable: Working knowledge of lawn, plant, and shrub care/maintenance
  • Skilled: Ability to perform basic equipment maintenance and detect potential issues
