Job Summary and Responsibilities

Are you a skilled Labor & Delivery RN ready to lead and inspire? Our Family Birth Place seeks a compassionate and dynamic Charge Registered Nurse to champion exceptional patient care and guide our dedicated team.

This isn't just a role; it's an opportunity to shape unforgettable birth experiences and empower a remarkable nursing staff. You'll be the heartbeat of our Family Birth Place, ensuring seamless operations and outstanding outcomes during your shift.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead & Direct: Oversee staff assignments, patient care, and unit activities, collaborating with staff nurses, physicians, and ancillary services.
  • Expert Clinical Care: Apply the full nursing process, respond to crises, and perform C-section recovery/circulation.
  • Quality & Safety Champion: Ensure patient and staff safety, complete quality checks, and address risk management issues.
  • Mentor & Resource: Guide and support team members, sharing expertise and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Strategic Collaborator: Partner with management on performance improvement projects and staffing needs.

Shift: 6:45pm - 7:15am

Core Schedule: Week 1 Thu, Fri, Sat; Week 2 Sun, Wed, Thu; Week 3 Mon, Tue, Wed; Week 4 Sun, Mon, Tue

This position requires on call.

Job Requirements

We're Looking for a Leader Who Is:

  • Experienced: Associate of Nursing with a minimum of two (2) years of Labor & Delivery experience.
  • Licensed & Certified: Current RN (RN:OR) upon hire, BLS-CPR within 30 days, and NRP within 6 months.
  • Communicative & Organized: Demonstrates excellent communication, clinical, and organizational skills.
  • Proactive & Collaborative: A problem-solver who promotes teamwork and positive satisfaction.
  • Flexible: This position requires on-call availability.
