Roseburg is located on Interstate 5 in Southern Oregon's scenic Douglas County. The community is nestled in a lush forested region known as the 100 Valleys of the Umpqua. Responsibilities

Shift: Fri, Sat 11am - 7:30pm; Sun, Mon 12:30pm - 9pm

Job Summary:

Under the direction of Food and Nutrition Director, the Café Associate performs a variety of tasks in food service area according to standard practices and procedures. The Café Associate must have excellent customer service skills and flexibility in multi-tasking the multitude of customer orders. Demonstrates good organizational and communication skills in dealing with internal and external customers.


Essential Duties:

  • Replenish food at serving station.
  • Prepare sandwiches, grilled items and entrees following standard recipes, guidelines and portion control.
  • Maintain cleanliness of dining area, counters, steam table and other equipment.
  • Prepare, fill and replenish salad bar and soup.
  • Refill silverware, napkins, condiments, snack items and beverages throughout shift.
  • Accurate cash handling and reconciliation of change due to customers.

Qualifications

License/Certification:

  • Food Handler's Card is required within the first 30 days of employment

Experience:

  • On the job training available

Education:

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
