The posted compensation range of $89.90 - $114.50 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity, the Clinical Nurse Educator is a professional who is responsibility and accountability for addressing the learning needs of the staff caring for patients. As part of the Education Department is also responsible for supporting the ongoing learning needs of the organization. Adult learning principles will be utilized to appropriately match the educational and professional needs and requirements of the staff in providing necessary and complementary educational programs, clinical competency review, equipment training, and clinical outcomes evaluation. The Clinical Nurse Educator will also participate actively in measuring the effectiveness of this learning. The position is responsible for providing staff development in a dynamic manner to meet needs for professional growth and development. The position is closely aligned with its community education resource networks and provides support to programs designed for the education of patients and their families across the lifespan.
Job Requirements
Minimum:
- Five (5) years recent related experience in the clinical area.
- Current California licensure as a Registered Nurse.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers.
Education:
Bachelors Degree Education, Nursing or related field
Preferred:
- Masters Degree
- Education or instructor experience in the clinical area preferred.
- Current training as CPR BLS Instructor preferred.
- Current certification in ACLS desirable.
