The posted compensation range of $33.798 - $49.0097 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Position: Quality/Patient Safety Analyst
Job Duties:
1. Facilitates development and implementation of data collection tools and processes including, the
ability to identify data elements needed to complete appropriate measurement, perform timely data
collection and abstraction per specifications, and validate data prior to submission or preview reports
prior to publication.
2. Generates reports and analyses to support related quality improvement, patient safety, patient
experience and operational effectiveness using key statistical tools, including but not limited to, run
charts, bar charts, pie charts, control charts, and cause and effect diagrams.
3. Analyzes data and identifies key findings and develops action plans. Presents complex data with
simplicity of design in a clear, easy to understand format.
4. Learns, understands and becomes proficient in relevant facility, Dignity Health and external data
sources and systems including, but not limited to, clinical process and outcome data, electronic
health record data, event reporting data, and patient complaints, etc. (e.g. Midas+, iVOS, ATLAS,
etc.). Assists in designing, developing, maintaining and updating clinical and other databases based
on department and organizational needs.
5. Collaborates on multidisciplinary teams and provides analytical support for various projects related
to quality improvement, patient safety, patient experience and outcomes, as appropriate. Interprets,
explains and discusses data analysis results
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
Education Requirements:
Associates degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Informatics, or closely related. Employer will
accept an advance degree if in the same field.
Experience Requirements:
12 months of part-time experience in job offered, Patient Service Specialist, Health Administrator,
Administrative Assistant, Healthcare Analyst, or closely related. Employer will accept part-time
experience if it is at least 20 hours per week, combination of full-time and part-time experience, and
full-time experience.
Special skills requirements:
1. Knowledge of the factors contributing to quality patient care, and ability to perform procedural
enhancements to patient care programs.
2. Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support
an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.
3. Knowledge of the critical interdependencies among system elements that help and hinder
performance and ability to plan and design solutions that synchronize resources to achieve business
results.
4. Knowledge of federal, state and local healthcare related laws and regulations; ability to comply with
these in healthcare practices and activities.
5. Knowledge of analytical and clinical management tools like PowerBi, Tableau, SAS, Microsoft office,
Google workforce, Midas, Cerner, and EPIC.
