Operating Room SPD Technician
The posted compensation range of $39.35 - $47.36 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
This position performs a wide variety of technical and manual tasks in the Operating Room, under the direction of Surgical Services, In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Operating Room SPD
Technician is a professional who assumes responsibility and accountability for his/her contribution toward the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families. Applies Dignity Health Core Values to the performance of every job duty. These Values include Dignity, Collaboration, Justice, Stewardship, and Excellence.
Minimum:
- High school graduate/General Studies upon hire and
- One (1) year of full-time experience as a central service technician or
- High School GED/General Studies upon hire and
- One (1) year of full time experience as a central service technician and
- Six (6) months experience processing and assembly of surgical instruments
- Experience requirement may be waived for individuals who have successfully completed a Central Service Technician (CST) externship at Sequoia Hospital
- Certified and Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) upon hire required or
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor (CSPDS) upon hire required or
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech (CSPDT) upon hire required or
- Certified Sterile Processing Dist Tech (CSPDT-CBSPD) upon hire required
- Completion of annual safety training
- Completes and maintains required unit specific training
