Responsibilities

Position Summary:

  • This leadership role will be responsible for managing staff in a union environment for Radiology, MRI, CT, Ultrasound/Echsonography, Mammography, Radiation Oncology, Non-Invasive procedures and Nuclear Medicine.
  • Manages all technical, clerical, regulatory and administrative operations of a diagnostic imaging department to ensure quality and safety goals are achieved.
  • Manages the application of diagnostic imaging technology and regulatory standards.
  • Adopts, develops and applies policies, protocols and procedures to measure and improve the quality of diagnostic imaging services provided by different departments and improves customer satisfaction.
  • Manages personnel through performance management, qualified staff selection and training and effective communication.
  • Manages the safety of diagnostic imaging service activities and creates a safe environment for patients, staff and the public.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of diagnostic imaging experience and two (2) years of experience managing/supervising in a related imaging field.
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional imaging-related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
  • Certified technologist with current applicable state licensure. If the state in which you are applying offers no applicable state licensure, then corresponding registration in a national modality (ARRT or NMTCB or ARDMS) is required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
  • Complex, abstract problem solving capabilities to maintain system-wide functions.
