The posted compensation range of $31.02 - $46.14 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Position Summary:
- The Education Coordinator performs and provides coordination for department functions and processes to ensure regulatory compliance in issues of orientation, safety, staff development, and patient/family education.
- In coordination with the Clinical Nurse Educators, Department Managers and the Director, the Education Coordinator implements educational programs, equipment training, and clinical outcomes evaluation; creates and maintains organizational systems that support the department in those areas.
- Adult learning principles will be utilized to appropriately match the educational and professional needs and requirements of the staff in providing necessary and complementary educational programs.
- The position is responsible for collaborating with the Clinical Educators to provide staff development in a dynamic manner to meet needs for professional growth and development.
- The position is aligned with community education resource networks and provides support to programs designed for the education of patients and their families across the lifespan.
- Incumbents in this position shall comply with all applicable laws and rules including the Dignity Health Standards of Conduct and Dignity Health policies and procedures that apply to his/her job responsibilities, seek guidance when in doubt, promptly report any potential or suspected violation of Dignity Health Standards of Conduct, Dignity Health policy or procedure or applicable laws/regulations and when requested, assist Dignity Health personnel in investigating all allegations of violation.
- When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program.
Job Requirements
Minimum:
- High School Graduate or GED upon hire
Preferred:
- Bachelors Health Education or Health related field
- Two (2) years recent related experience in hospital or health related field
- Experience in adult education
