Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO), you're leading our nurses across every department to maintain compliance and exceed patient expectations. Everything we do is centered around humankindness. You'll use that as your motivation as you work with leadership and everyone in the hospital to ensure quality, safety, and a great patient experience. Every day, your role is part business, part quality director, and part motivator and encourager.

You’ll have direct influence over the care we provide to our patients, real people who are coming to us at the most vulnerable times in their life. To build trust with our teams while executing that mission, you have to be a transparent and deliberate leader in the hospital and the community. We are looking for someone courageous enough, to be honest about successes and failures and use both to drive innovative solutions for patient care and interdisciplinary teamwork.

To be successful in this role, you will consistently demonstrate visionary leadership, strategic planning capabilities, and an unwavering commitment to clinical excellence and patient advocacy. Furthermore, you will foster a culture of open communication, continuous improvement, and professional development across all nursing functions.

  • Manages the resources (e.g. staff, materials and finances) of the nursing department; plans and directs all nursing activities in that facility.
  • Provides strong operational leadership as a highly engaged Chief Nursing Officer, overseeing ancillary departments and directing key business units to ensure efficient resource management, seamless operations, and alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Develops and deploys nursing policies, objectives, and initiatives for the department; reviews departmental operations to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Drives the delivery of quality and cost-effective patient care; oversees the performance of nursing staff.
  • Develops the overall competency level of nursing staff; coordinates quality enhancement and process improvement tasks.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors Other Nursing or Related field - either BSN or MSN and Minimum of ten (10) years of nursing experience, upon hire and
  • Masters Other Nursing, NBA, MHA, Education, Public Health; must have BSN or MSN and five (5) years of nurse leadership experience, upon hire
  • Registered Nurse: CA, upon hire
