Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The incumbent is to implement a group speech therapy program for participants of the Parkinson Support Group. The Speech Therapist would use their knowledge of skills and experience to oversee the group program that has been designed by the Parkinson Voice Project’s SPEAK OUT Therapy Program. This program will be for people with Parkinson’s, their families and other support persons may observe in order to support the person with Parkinson’s success. In addition, the incumbent will develop educational programs and groups that are consistent with the participants' needs and interests.Speech Pathologists providing independent case coverage in Pediatrics


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Speech Pathologists providing independent case coverage in adult group speech therapy must have a minimum of 1 year adult group speech therapy experience
  • Current licnesure by the California Board of Medical Quality Assurance as a speech and language pathologist required
  • Current BLS certification (must be through the American Heart Association)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent clinical experience in a variety of communication disorders and emphasis in dysphagia preferred
