Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our EMT, you will perform essential general patient care, meticulously following established clinic workflows to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery within an outpatient setting.
Every day you will complete comprehensive patient intake duties, including obtaining vital signs, verifying allergies and medications, and documenting reasons for visits. You'll also collect and prepare specimens, administer ordered medications and vaccines, clean and sterilize instruments, ensure exam room readiness, and meticulously complete safety checklists, escalating any non-routine issues promptly.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient care, efficiency, and safety, adeptly managing all intake processes and supporting clinical operations. Your ability to meticulously follow protocols, maintain a clean and stocked environment, and proactively address concerns will be crucial for exceptional patient experiences.
- Maintains established policies, procedures, objectives, quality improvement program and safety standards.
- Performs patient systems assessment/data collection in an ongoing and systematic manner.
- Enters patient data into computerized patient care reporting system so that there are no deficiencies.
- Performs direct patient care and implements patient care in a knowledgeable, skillful, and consistent manner while administering medications and performing procedures consistent with EMT certification.
- Participates in problem identification and patient care planning with direction from the Paramedic.
- Transports non-critical patients and administers patient care in accordance with S-SV EMS and company Standards while demonstrating competent patient care.

Required
- High School Graduate 6 months working as a EMT with anaccredited EMS agency or 6 monthsworking as a EMT with a fire departmentand 6 months of experience operatingemergency vehicles, upon hire or
- High School GED, upon hire
- Emergency Medical Technician: CA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and (must be through the American Heart Association)
- Driver's License: CA, upon hire and
- Certified Ambulance Driver: CA, upon hire and
