Responsibilities
Position Summary:
Under indirect supervision the Incumbent is responsible for organizing, coordinating and implementing quality data information, ensuring that the Oncology and Infusion Clinic operates efficiently in computer automation. This position requires excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, and customer service skills; strong analytical and operational problem solving skills; must be an independent thinker and collaborative worker, able to work with various staff positions and personnel levels; must take initiative, exercise discretion, confidentiality, integrity, tact, and the ability to deal with highly sensitive issues. This position will be responsible for reviewing, improving, and training staff in work flow processes; implementing clinic protocols for staff, and serving as an EHR super user to support staff at the clinic. This position will act as a liaison between Oncology Clinic and Hospital Infusion Center by supporting timely treatment authorizations, clinic charge and split billing and acting as a financial counselor for Infusion. The position will be responsible for running reports, attending quality meetings, and participating in the Oncology and Infusion administrative functions and meetings, tracking staff licensures and competency assessments, and support in the on boarding of new staff.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 2 years recent office experience in a healthcare environment, with emphasis on computer applications
- Associates College Degree (AA) in a related field or a combination of education and experience
- Computer literacy including familiarity of mainframes and knowledge of PC systems
- Basic knowledge of computer programming and computer interfacing extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required as well as ability to build databases and create Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
PreferredQualifications:
- Knowledge of community clinic and Quality Improvement models preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Robust experience with Electronic Health Records systems; preferably Cerner Ambulatory
