The posted compensation range of $35.22 - $41.22 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Pharmacy Tech, you'll help our patients feel better by providing safe and effective medications to them. You'll help our doctors and nurses feel better knowing that you are providing accurate and timely medication to patients.
Every day, you'll build trust by being extremely thorough and accurate at all times. Patient safety is your top priority, so you do everything you can to ensure all prescriptions are authentic, prepared correctly both in medication type and dosing, and are dispensed appropriately, under the Pharmacist's guidance.
To be successful in this role, you follow all safety protocols, including those intended to prevent infection, and you keep a clean work area at all times. You are eager to learn or help out in any way needed to keep the pharmacy running smoothly and get our patients their medications.
- Delivers medications to designated areas accurately and efficiently, including consolidating trips and recognizing priorities
- Fills and bills patient cassettes accurately and efficiently, processes patient charges and credits accurately and rapidly into the computer and delivers and exchanges cassettes efficiently
- Fills stock, Unit dose medications, medication orders accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner taking into account specific patient needs
- Completes outpatient pharmacy functions according to departmental processes which includes but is not limited to: calling in prescription refills to the physician offices and processing take home prescriptions
- Stocks take home area, shelves and medication bins and all areas of the pharmacy
- Conducts IV preparation functions according to departmental processes using sterile technique
Job Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- Completed Pharmacy Technician program, upon hire and
- Pharmacy Technician: CA, upon hire and
- Certified Pharmacy Tech PTCB, upon hire
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 years of Hospital Pharmacy and Sterile compounding experience
