Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Clinical Lab Scientist, you will be instrumental in unraveling medical mysteries, providing crucial diagnostic insights that directly impact patient treatment and recovery.
Every day, you will perform complex technical analyses across various laboratory disciplines, meticulously verifying results for accuracy and quality assurance. You will operate and maintain sophisticated instrumentation and collaborate closely with laboratory leadership to uphold the highest standards of practice and patient care.

- Assists management with the maintenance of appropriate policies, procedures and equipment as requested
- Conducts orientation and training of new personnel and monitors performance of appropriate personnel in the section of primary responsibility as requested
- Assists in the operation and maintenance of automated analyzers and maintains an adequate inventory of departmental supplies
- Performs quality control, quality assurance, and performance improvement indicators routinely in the department
- Maintains work areas in an appropriate state of orderliness
- Monitors performance of the daily workload to ensure efficient departmental operations
Job Requirements
Required
- Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist licensure
- Recent clinical laboratory experience
- Basic computer skills, ability to read and follow written instructions (i.e., policies and procedures) as well as understand and adhere to verbal directions
- Ability to write policy and procedures as well as communicate verbal directions effectively
- Above average communication, organizational skills, mathematical aptitude for computations, standard formulas, and precise measurements and ability to adapt to workload demands
- Ability to remain clam and function efficiently during difficult or emergency situations
- Experience in an acute care hospital
- Advanced degree in a related field
- BLS
