Job Summary and Responsibilities

This position will cover our Sacramento and North State Markets

As our Market Director, Supply Chain Operations, you will be the orchestrator of an entire materials management ecosystem across a designated market within CommonSpirit Health. This pivotal leadership role demands a visionary approach to healthcare supply chain optimization, focusing on planning, organizing, directing, and controlling all aspects of receiving, inventory, and distribution across multiple facilities. You will be instrumental in deploying national strategies to achieve cost-effective materials management and ensuring seamless supply availability, directly impacting operational efficiency and patient care delivery.

Every day you will strategically oversee the comprehensive flow of materials, from incoming shipments to precise distribution throughout your market, meticulously maintaining and reporting accurate inventories. You will build and nurture vital relationships with facility and market executives, acting as the accountable supply chain leader to champion national SSRM (Supply Chain Services and Resource Management) strategies. This includes leading and empowering facility supply chain teams, driving operational excellence, and ensuring market performance aligns with key indicators and financial goals, ultimately optimizing the total cost of ownership for the supply chain.

To be successful in this role, you will possess a proven track record in supply chain management within a multi-facility environment, demonstrating exceptional leadership, strategic planning, and relationship-building skills. You will be adept at managing budgets, implementing standardized operating procedures, and continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement and financial performance optimization. We are seeking a results-oriented leader who can effectively select, orient, and evaluate SSRM facility leadership, ensuring departments not only meet but exceed national performance standards in healthcare logistics and resource management.

  • Builds strong relationships with executives to communicate performance and value
  • Accountable for market operational performance metrics
  • Optimizes supply chain's total cost of ownership
  • Ensures compliance with all operational procedures and policies
  • Manages and evaluates SSRM facility leadership and departments to national standards
  • Develops and manages facility SSRM labor budgets and drives process improvements

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field required
  • Minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in Supply Chain within a healthcare facility system or other relevant experience

Preferred:

  • Master Degree
  • Project Management, Operations and Analytics Experience preferred
