Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our RN Non-Acute in Urology, you will play a pivotal leadership role within the clinic, blending direct patient care responsibilities with critical operational oversight. You will serve as a primary resource for medical assistants and staff, guiding work distribution and ensuring smooth daily workflows.
Every day you will perform core medical assistant duties while simultaneously acting as a leader and resource for staff, handling work distribution and daily management. You will assume operational oversight in the absence of the Practice Manager, support scheduling adjustments for full departmental coverage, and organize practice meetings and training sessions.
To be successful in this role, you will hold a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona and possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification. You will have at least two years of experience in a medical clinic environment with comprehensive knowledge across all areas, or a combination of education and job-related experience.
- Perform regular MA core duties.
- Act as leader and resource for staff for work distribution and daily management of duties.
- Assume operational oversight of the practice in the absence of the Practice Manager.
- Support the practice manager to ensure full department coverage including making changes and adjustments to the schedule as necessary.
- Support the scheduling of practice meetings and training sessions and communicating the schedule to the staff.
- Provide computer system training to new hires. Serve as an EMR subject matter expert.
Required
- High School Graduate or GED
- Registered Nurse: AZ
- Two years in a medical clinic environment with knowledge of all areas
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing providing excellent customer service
- Ability to adapt to change of duties quickly and smothly
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support - AHA BLS
Preferred
- Supervisory or lead experience
- Electronic Medical Record EMR experience
- Cerner experience
