MRI Technologist
The posted compensation range of $39.18 - $58.28 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Performs a variety of MRI procedures under the supervision of Imaging Services leadership
- Displays competency operating equipment including performing procedures. Determines test procedures
according to purpose of examination - Updates patient examination history file, records unusual conditions/limitations, documents examination time, room number and technique factors. Completes examination and billing procedures as required
- Utilizes good magnetic field safety practices for patients, self and others by use of available radiation protection devices. Ensure badges are worn appropriately and readings are available.
- Displays a thorough knowledge of anatomy, positioning and of various drugs and contrast media utilized.
- Displays competency injecting contrast media. Fully competent in cross sectional anatomy knowledge pertaining to MRI
- Accurately marks all images as necessary. Assures that the patient information is clearly visible. Performs visual preventive safety inspections of patient and equipment prior to entering MRI
*Three 12 hours days per week with opportunity to make up 4 hours at another location*
Job Requirements
Minimum
Graduate of AMA approved school of radiological technology
Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RTMR)
ARMRIT MRI (ARMRIT)
Basic Life Support - CPR (BLS-CPR)
Medical Radiographer: AZ (MRAD:AZ)
Basic computer literacy and proficiency
Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and Cerner experience
