Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Emergency Department Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center you’ll be the first touchpoint to the people in our community during health emergencies. No two days in emergency services are ever the same. You’re a multitasker who can react quickly as you’ll prioritize patients based on their medical necessity. As an Emergency Department Technician, you will deliver patient care and perform clinical procedures within the scope of your licensure under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and Provider.

- Assisting with observation of patients, gathering data, and identifying patient care needs
- Responding to emergency situations
- Assisting with patient transport and transfer
- Assisting with cleaning, stocking, and maintenance of department equipment and supplies
- Assisting with clerical and communication tasks to support patient care
Scheduled shifts and training will be at Prescott and Prescott Valley Campuses.
Job Requirements
Required
- Completion of nursing assistant program, or EMT program, or completion of first block of nursing program
- Minimum of two (2) years experience as an NA or ED Tech in an acute care hospital setting, or previous military medic experience
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support Certification
- IV Training course completion within 30 days of hire
- EKG Class completion and demonstration within 30 days of hire
Preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant License: AZ (CNA:AZ)
- Licensed Nursing Assistant: AZ (LNA:AZ)
- Emergency Medical Technician: AZ (EMT:AZ)
- 1 to 3 years experience in acute care hospital setting or previous military medic experience
