Overview

Great opportunity at our Plainview Hospital. Since our doors opened in 1968 CHI Health Plainview has been providing patients of Pierce Antelope and Knox counties in Nebraska with exceptional care and quality outcomes. We are a 15-bed critical access facility with inpatient and outpatient services.


Responsibilities

Some of your Duties:

  • Transports, collects, receives, prepares and accurately tests biological specimens using procedures consistent with safe work practices and proper laboratory technique while maintaining integrity of specimens.
  • Critically evaluates specimens and correlates all lab results to the clinical picture of each individual. Communicates and documents all testing and results in a timely manner to clinical personnel involved in patient care.
  • Maintains and operates test systems for optimal performance, being able to identify and resolve technical problems, utilizing quality control methods and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Follows CAP and all regulatory guidelines, demonstrating consistent adherence to national patient safety goals. May assess and approve competency of other techs and staff.

Qualifications

What You Need:


Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Chemical, Physical, or Biological Sciences 
Certification by the ASCP Board of Registry/Board of Certification
