Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our System Manager, SSRM Supplies Contracts, you will be responsible for contract management, including reviewing, analyzing, drafting, and managing contracts in accordance with company policy and stakeholder specifications. You will identify and utilize comparative data, including market information and industry standards, to make cost/benefit determinations in evaluating proposed contract terms relative to business needs.
Every day, this position requires negotiation skills, independent judgment, and the ability to identify and resolve business issues. You will lead RFI/RFPs, negotiations, and contracting for a particular spend category. You will partner with the Legal Team to address proposed contract terms that deviate from our standards, to develop new policies or contract templates, and improve contracting processes.
To be successful in your role, you will strategically lead the comprehensive management of supplies contracts, driving optimal value and compliance across designated spend categories. You will demonstrate exceptional expertise in contract negotiation, analytical decision-making, and collaboration with legal and stakeholder teams, ensuring cost-effectiveness, risk mitigation, and continuous process improvement in all contractual engagements.
- Collaborate with the category team or other key stakeholders to develop contracting strategies.
- Develop and lead the category RFI/RFP processes: prepares complex solicitations and reviews specialize and/or non-routine proposals, bids, and contract modifications.
- Leads negotiation efforts.
- Manages internal communications across category team and work with the key stakeholders (eg. Legal, Finance, Operations, etc) collaboratively.
- Have an understanding of the business case and financial/analytical issues. Works closely with the Data Analytics team for data needs and data collection efforts.
- Analyzes significant and/or unique contract requirements and special provisions while working with legal to ensure terms and conditions are compliant with appropriate laws, regulations and corporate policies and business unit procedures.
Develops and monitors Key Performance Indicators that are measurable to ensure the vendor compliance with contracting terms and conditions ensuring that projected contracted value is captured and maintained.
Participates in business review processes including evaluating vendor compliance with contracts and enforcing vendor rebates.
Interacts with internal and external stakeholders and vendor personnel to address contractual concerns, requirements and ensure risk management, quality, and CSH legal terms and conditions are maintained through a contract’s life-cycle
Partner with Contract Management team to manage pipeline of contract expirations.

Job RequirementsRequired
- Bachelors Other in Accounting, Finance, Business/Healthcare Administration (or other similar)
- Minimum of three years of contracting and or supply chain experience with evidence of progressive, increasing responsibility, upon hire
- Experience with and literate in supply chain computer applications, Microsoft Office applications, Google tools and user knowledge of each to achieve Supply Chain goals

- Masters degree
