Job Summary and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage projects / programs within our Financial Services department, focusing on accounts payable (AP) and payroll functions. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, managing key stakeholders, and ensuring the successful delivery of complex projects. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for driving process improvements, implementing business transformation solution driven by technology, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The projects / programs may be executed in traditional waterfall, agile or hybrid model. This role will manage the PMO for Financial Services area and provide supervision of the AP/Payroll PMO team with responsibility for hiring, performance evaluations, coaching and development.

  • Financial Services PMO Management: Manage the projects / enhancement managed directly by this role and supervise / guide team on project management processes to ensure timely status reporting and getting management attention in case of any roadblocks; Responsible for the management, reporting and action plan follow-up of the annual CRP monitoring plan and direct supervision of monitoring staff; Maintain staff workload balances, promoting teamwork and professional work environment, coaching staff to promote personal and professional development, setting achievable individual performance goals, setting clear expectations and providing regular, ongoing feedback to staff as well as completing annual performance appraisals; Develop and cross train Financial Services team members to ensure adherence to project management processes for both waterfall, agile and hybrid projects.
  • Project Leadership and Management: Lead end-to-end project management for accounts payable and payroll initiatives, ensuring the effective execution of new financial services capabilities, process improvements, or transformations; Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and financial services strategies; Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, resources, and budgets, and track project progress using appropriate project management tools like ServiceNow; Manage and mitigate project risks, addressing issues proactively to avoid delays or disruptions; Manage requirements elaboration, design alignment and implantation of system-related activities with IT and other cross-functional teams.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including finance teams, IT, vendors, external auditors, and senior leadership, to ensure successful project delivery; Prepare and present regular updates, progress reports, and performance metrics to senior management and relevant stakeholders; Ensure clear communication of project milestones, challenges, and successes to all stakeholders; Manage relationships with third-party vendors ensuring timely delivery and adherence of agreed Project Charter.
  • Process Optimization & Improvement: Drive the continuous improvement of accounts payable and payroll processes through the analysis of workflows, technology adoption, and efficiency gains; Lead process mapping and redesign initiatives to enhance accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency within AP and payroll functions; Identify opportunities for automation or system integration to streamline financial processes.
  • Change Management: Oversee change management efforts, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems, tools, and processes by relevant teams; Provide training, documentation, and support to staff and stakeholders during transitions to new processes or systems; Promote a culture of innovation and accountability within the financial operations team.
  • Team Collaboration: Lead and mentor project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure project milestones are achieved; Collaborate with finance, HR, IT, and other internal teams to ensure projects are aligned with business objectives and financial goals.

Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors or Other Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, upon hire or
  • Significant work experience with healthcare finance technology, including software implementations, system optimization, transformation, and change management experience, especially AP and Payroll. and
  • Experience with large-scale ERP implementations, AP automation tools, or payroll platforms and
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of broad finance and business technology experience including in-depth knowledge of technology-enabled financial operations and processes in large organizations covering AP and Payroll.


Preferred

  • Masters or Other A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Six Sigma) is a plus., upon hire
