Hello humankindness Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic research and leadership roles.DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrows healthcare providers. DHMG has 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows throughout the 25 academic programs. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students. Responsibilities
This position is responsible for supervising and managing the billing, collections, customer service, and cash application functions within the Physician Business Services department. This position provides coaching, feedback, and motivation to work together in a team environment to accomplish departmental goals.
  • Acts as a resource and role model for Clients, Team Members, and New Employees.
  • Unifies team members toward common goals. Generates enthusiasm and commitment among employees; fosters and reinforces team based results and holds team members accountable for departmental goals.
  • Manages the work of team members by empowering, coaching, answering questions, giving guidance, and leading by example.
  • Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills, capacity to make difficult decisions, and ability to problem solve.
  • Effectively coaches and evaluates staff to improve productivity, quality, and reliability.
  • Acts as a liaison for all revenue cycle members including clinic staff, coders, charge entry, and upper management.
  • Processes multiple and competing priorities and manages time, organizes, and prioritizes daily workload.
  • In coordination with the Manager, conducts weekly, monthly and yearly performance reviews and provides feedback to team members. Works with team members to improve, track and develop areas of overall performance to meet or exceed expectations.
  • Maintains open and frequent communication with the Manager regarding specific unit issues.
  • Maintains knowledge of current healthcare issues, practices, and changes in health care delivery.
  • Participates in in-service/training opportunities and implements processes as required to maintain compliance.
  • Monitors A/R for processing trends, disparities, and delays. Initiates carrier / vendor resolutions accordingly.

Qualifications
MINIMUM
High school Diploma or equivalent 
Three years experience in medical billing and collections.
PREFERRED
Bachelors degree
Previous supervisory experience and experience in day-to-day operations of Physician Practice billing
