Job Summary and Responsibilities

Job Summary 
Serves as the technical lead and mentor for LMS administration within the region, ensuring consistency, scalability, and alignment with enterprise learning strategies. Provides advanced system expertise, manages complex configurations, and partners with the LMS Manager to drive process improvements, vendor collaboration, and governance standards.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage advanced LMS configurations, integrations, workflows, and permissions; lead testing of upgrades, patches, and new features.
  • Serve as Tier 3 escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to learners and stakeholders.
  • Mentor and train LMS Administrators and local site admins, providing coaching and technical guidance to ensure consistency and quality across the team.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce standard protocols, documentation, and best practices for LMS functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Partner with stakeholders, clients, and customers to anticipate downstream impacts of LMS functions, proactively identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
  • Generate and interpret data analytics and advanced reporting to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and recommend system/process improvements to the LMS Manager.
  • Collaborate with IT, HRIS, and vendors on integrations, escalations, and troubleshooting, escalating issues before critical timelines are impacted.
  • Independently prepare and communicate system audits within CommonSpirit Health platforms and vendor systems to support enterprise learning goals.
  • Contribute to project management efforts by organizing multiple simultaneous initiatives, meeting deadlines, and ensuring alignment with regional and enterprise priorities.
  • Provide high-quality customer service, modeling professional communication and solution-oriented problem solving.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the utilization, optimization, and efficiency of CommonSpirit Health learning solutions.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications
Required Education and Experience 
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Education, Learning Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in learning systems administration, learning technology, or digital learning leadership.
2+ years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.


Required Licensure and Certifications
None required. Relevant certifications (e.g., Cornerstone, SuccessFactors, SCORM, xAPI, project management) are preferred.


Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Proven expertise with enterprise LMS platforms and learning systems integration.
Strong leadership and people development skills.
Advanced knowledge of instructional technology, eLearning standards, and data reporting.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and project leadership skills.
Experience in applying data analytics to evaluate and improve learning impact.
