The posted compensation range of $35.62 - $52.99 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Analyst - Corporate Operational Finance (COF) is responsible for performing all required financial analysis and tracking for CommonSpirit Health Health Information Technology (IT) for focused on Investment efforts. The position is also responsible for the completion and coordination of monthly financial reports including but not limited to the Monthly Operating Reports and Presentations, Capital Expenditure Report, and Forecast Report. In addition, the position will be responsible for reviewing and providing financial forecasts support and analysis for the IT department in the overall management of the company’s financial effectiveness process.
Accountabilities:
Responsible for completing and presenting a formal monthly forecast summary and variance explanations as well as reporting associated with year-end analysis, year-end projections, and other special reports. Responsible for completing and ensuring the integrity of CommonSpirit Health IT financial reporting including updating reports and analyses with key financial information. Provide variance analysis of consolidated IT Program Services data, which comprises multiple departments and projects. Gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare recommendations regarding IT Program Services financial issues to COF leadership. Interact extensively and build strong relationships with IT staff, IT department managers, and other IT leaders. Assist in coordinating and completing the annual operating budget process for CommonSpirit Health IT and overseeing any additional activities during the year including the long range financial plan. Develop presentations for COF Senior Leadership and other audiences re: budget, IT project spending, and operational results, etc.
Job Requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or equivalent experience
- 7 years of Finance, Reporting, Forecasting and Budgeting
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Ability to review financial reports and identify spending trends and variances
- Understand and exercise proficiency in each of the identified accounting disciplines
- Maintain knowledge of current accounting practices and trends to assist in providing recommendations for process improvements for the business
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building-skills, with the ability to communicate up, down and across levels of the organization
- Ability to create, manage and enhance customer relationships
- Highly self-motivated, self-directed, and attentive to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a complex and matrixed team environment
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Identification with and support of the Mission and Values of CommonSpirit Health
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a Healthcare environment is preferred
- Experience in Corporate Operational Finance preferred
- Experience in financial reporting within project management systems
- Experience using GSuite
