The posted compensation range of $22.95 - $33.28 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
**MUST RESIDE IN ARIZONA
The Revenue Cycle Onboarding Specialist is responsible for the successful onboarding and initial education of new revenue cycle employees. This role focuses on providing hands-on, workflow-specific instruction to ensure new employees quickly become proficient in their roles and contribute effectively to the team. The educator will utilize a variety of training methods, including shadowing, simulations, and guided practice, to equip new employees with the skills and knowledge necessary to navigate revenue cycle systems, processes, and workflows. This position requires a strong understanding of revenue cycle operations, excellent communication and coaching skills, and a passion for helping new employees become successful members of the Revenue Cycle Team.
- Onboarding Training Delivery:
- Request equipment and verify programs are loaded prior to training to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
- Create Access Requests based on roles.
- Deliver structured onboarding education to new revenue cycle employees, covering essential workflows, systems, and processes.
- Assist in accessing payer portals and understanding of the related sites.
- Provide hands-on training and guided practice to ensure new hires develop proficiency in their specific roles.
- Utilize a variety of training methods, including shadowing, simulations, role-playing, and job aids, to cater to different learning styles.
- Guide new hires through the initial stages of their job responsibilities, providing support and feedback as needed.
- Monitor new hire performance during the onboarding period and identify areas where additional education or support is required.
- Workflow Expertise and Training Material Development:
- Maintain a deep understanding of revenue cycle workflows, systems, and processes.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and update training materials, including job aids, checklists, and process documentation.
- Create realistic training examples to prepare new hires for real-world situations.
- Ensure that training materials are aligned with current policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
MINIMUM
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in revenue cycle operations in a healthcare setting
Strong understanding of revenue cycle workflows, systems, and processes
PREFERRED
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field
Certified Professional Biller (CPB) through AAPC
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
Experience in training, coaching, or mentoring
Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to provide constructive feedback and support to new employees.
Proficiency in Google applications.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, coding guidelines, and payer requirements (depending on the specific revenue cycle area)
