Job Summary and Responsibilities
The Ivy Brain Tumor Center is a non-conventional non-profit program offering state-of-the-art clinical trials for patients with the most aggressive form of brain cancer. It is home to the largest collection of Phase 0 trials for brain tumors in the world. Our multidisciplinary team of brain tumor specialists and scientists are accelerating drug discovery and precision medicine in neuro-oncology to identify the most promising first-in-class therapies for brain tumor patients.
As a Research Post Doctoral Fellow, you will actively engage in laboratory, translational, or clinical research under faculty guidance. Your primary objective is to advance your specialized understanding and practical skills.
Every day you will contribute to ongoing research by conducting experiments, analyzing data, or participating in clinical investigations. This experience aims to build competencies for independent investigative work.

The Ivy Brain Tumor Center seek a motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Fellow to join a dynamic collaborative research team focused on advancing preclinical neurooncology research. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge glioma research develop independent scientific expertise and build a foundation for a successful research career. The successful candidate will design and execute preclinical studies mentor junior laboratory staff and actively contribute to scholarly dissemination of research findings.
• Designs conducts and analyzes both in vitro and in vivo experiments using established and novel glioma models
• Plans organizes and monitors daily project protocols ensuring adherence to study timelines and objectives.
• Contributes to the development of preclinical trial plans including experimental design methodology and outcome measures.
• Applies and maintains Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards in all aspects of research including collection preparation and maintenance of required research documentation and final preclinical study reports.
• Supervises and provides mentorship and training to laboratory research staff fostering a culture of scientific rigor and professional growth
• Coordinates and collaborates with interdisciplinary Ivy Center teams to advance preclinical research projects and ensure alignment of shared objectives
• Maintains current knowledge of the field by reviewing and critically evaluating scientific literature integrating emerging findings into ongoing research efforts Scholarly communication and dissemination
• Leads and contributes to the preparation and submission of abstracts and peer-reviewed manuscripts for publication
• Assists in the preparation of grant proposals and funding applications including literature reviews preliminary data synthesis and scientific narrative development.
• Prepares and delivers research presentations at internal meetings institutional seminars and regional national and international scientific conferences.

Job RequirementsRequired
- Doctoral degree (PhD) or equivalent in a relevant field of endeavor
- Laboratory or clinical research at the post-baccalaureate level with an interest in a faculty member's line of study
Preferred
- Experience writing research reports concerning own work and familiarity with a biomedical discipline
