Responsibilities
As our Nutrition Assistant Lead, you will lead the daily operations of Nutrition Assistants and nutrition support to ensure operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. You understand that most guests at our facility dine with us for a reason, and take great pride in giving them one less thing to worry about.
Every day, you will oversee those who provide nutritious food to patients, families, visitors, and staff to help promote their health and healing. You will ensure that the team follows the standards, regulations, guidelines, and procedures for the healthcare food service industry, which includes monitoring and maintaining food temperatures during cooking, holding, and storage processes. You will collaborate with the facility staff to ensure optimal nutritional care in all healthcare food service operations while demonstrating excellent customer service to patients, families, visitors, and staff.

Responsibilities
- Exhibits high degree knowledge in food preparation and food production.
- Trains new and existing employees to follow departmental policies and procedures.
- Oversees food preparation and service to ensure the guidelines of menu and dietary requirements are met.
- Assists team members in applying organizational procedures and protocols to reduce the occurrence of errors related to dietary guidelines.
- Assesses training progress and provides constructive feedback for improved performance.

Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
Minimum Experience:
- Four (4) years of food service experience
- Two (2) years hospital nutrition experience
Minimum Licensure:
- A Food Handlers Permit Within 30-days of Hire
