The posted compensation range of $39.18 - $58.28 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing high-quality magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) examinations to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
Every day you will prepare patients for scans, operate advanced MRI equipment, ensure patient safety in the magnetic environment, and accurately capture detailed anatomical images.
To be successful, you will demonstrate expert technical proficiency in MRI, meticulous attention to detail for image quality and safety, and excellent patient communication to ensure a comfortable and effective diagnostic experience.
- Prepares patient for exam by providing clear and through explanation of exam to patient and interviewing, instructing, and communicating with patients and family members. Consistently practices "AIDET" when caring for patients.
- Consistently confirms identity of patient by utilizing two patient identifier process.
- Prepares and administers intravenous contrast according to policy by adhering to sterile technique and preparing for emergency treatment of allergic reaction by established policy.
- Utilizes departmental policies and procedures in meeting patient needs by maintaining proper quality utilization and risk management policies and practices and follows established protocols.
- Follows established safety protocols. Screens all patients, family members and others before entering the scanning environment. Ensure patient and visitor safety at all times. Maintains familiarity with MRI research process to clear metal devices. Stays current on MRI safety resources.
- Performs quality control by documenting systems failure and variances and communicates with lead to facilitate service when necessary.
Required
- High School Graduate,
- American Heart Association BLS Card within 30 Days
- Registered Technologist Radiography ARRT or
- Registered Technologist Computed Tomography, or
- Registered Technologist Magnetic Resonance Imaging, or
- Registered Technologist Vascualr Inteventional Rad
Preferred
- Associates Other Allied Health program, e.g., MRI, radiography,
- 1-3 years Performed MRI scanning in clinical environment
