The posted compensation range of $18.00 - $22.19 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
**MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN ARIZONA
As our Medical Records Professional, you will ensure the integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility of patient health information, meticulously managing records in compliance with all regulatory standards and organizational policies.
Every day you will accurately process, retrieve, and maintain patient medical records (electronic and paper). You will manage requests for Protected Health Information (PHI) ensuring strict HIPAA compliance, and play a key role in ensuring the completeness, accuracy, and proper indexing of health information within the EHR system.
To be successful in this role, you will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology, health information management principles, and comprehensive knowledge of HIPAA and privacy regulations. You will demonstrate meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and proficiency with EHR systems.
- Manages incoming departmental telephone calls and faxes and responds as appropriate
- Maintains accurate physician contact lists
- Miscellaneous clerical duties based on departmental needs, such as Departmental mail distribution, filing, sorting , copying, record keeping, posting, tabulating information, and organizes assigned tasks.
- Maintains supply of documentation materials
- Delivers and picks up records, interoffice mail, etc. as needed.
- Prepares and mails all outgoing patient correspondence and appropriate attachments.
Job Requirements
**MUST CURRENTLY RESIDE IN ARIZONA
MINIMUM
- High School Diploma or GED
- One-year clerical experience
- Familiarity with applicable alphabetic and numeric filing systems
PREFERRED
- Helathcare experience strongly preferred
