Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Region CSO, and market strategy leadership, the Market Manager manages the implementation of specific business objectives and projects at a Market or care setting level.
Implements and monitors tactical plans that are aligned with key business and strategic initiatives.
Provide support for strategic planning process, service line and key strategy projects, strategic planning reviews, provider development planning and other strategic, and financial planning related processes.
Provides objective data and analysis that enables teams to make informed decisions and achieve strategic growth. Responsible for providing strategic data analyses, trends monitoring, market intelligence and business case development.
Works with peers and stakeholders to achieve functional goals and carry out initiatives efficiently.
May support independent provider recruitment and onboarding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning: Provides support for strategic planning process, service line and key strategy projects, strategic planning reviews, and other strategic and financial planning related processes.
- Growth Initiatives/ Business Development: Provides support for business development and service line projects, medical staff development planning, CON applications and other planning related processes.
- Business and Tactical Plans: Supports business and tactical plan development and implementation business development opportunities and services/ product. Implements and monitors tactical plans that are aligned with key business and strategic initiatives.
- Assessment and Analysis: Partners with analytics team to develop and provide objective data and analysis to make informed decisions and achieve strategic growth. Ensures credible and current access to strategic market intelligence; monitors and analyzes trends in the environment to inform and support business development, service line development and business case development. Runs complex analysis, forecasts and builds data models.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Works with peers and stakeholders to achieve functional goals and carry out initiatives efficiently.
- Physician Strategy/ Physician/ Development Planning: Collaborates in Physician Workforce Development Planning and provider development plans.
- Provider Recruitment: Supports independent physician recruitment necessary to maintain access to care and implement growth initiatives.
- Other Duties: Partners with other Growth functions locally, regionally and nationally including marketing, communications, and sales to develop and implement market strategies and growth plans. Partners with operations and clinical functions to implement strategies and growth plans. Performs other duties and projects as assigned by manager.
Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required and/or additional job related experience may be substituted in lieu of the degree.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare strategy, business development or related field required.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training:
- Understanding of healthcare trends, regulations, and best practices; ability to apply this knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Understanding of the importance of "big picture" thinking and planning and ability to apply organizational acumen to identify and maintain focus on key success factors for the organization.
- Ability to summarize and make relevant recommendations on analytical findings and research on industry/market trends and best practices.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across the market.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail. Comfortable completing complex tasks and projects on a tight deadline. Ability to balance competing priorities.
- Relationship-oriented and able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders in a matrix organization. Skilled in developing and maintaining positive working relationships.
- Serve as informal leader for projects to ensure timely and quality deliverables.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal guidance and move priorities forward while engaging key stakeholders. Includes ability to self-direct and self-educate.
- Knowledge of business development tools, techniques and approaches; ability to explore and develop potential areas of business growth for the organization.
- Proficient in Google Suite set of tools, Microsoft Excel, ability to work in various mapping and analytical tools.
