Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Manager, Cardiovascular Diagnostic Services, you will be a pivotal leader, driving operational excellence and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care across our comprehensive cardiovascular programs.

Everyday you will expertly manage the daily operations of assigned cardiovascular units and services, encompassing strategic staffing, scheduling, financial oversight (budgeting), rigorous quality control, and continuous process improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong clinical knowledge in cardiovascular care, exceptional leadership and communication skills, a comprehensive understanding of cardiovascular service line operations, and proven experience in a healthcare leadership role, preferably within a cardiovascular setting.

Essential Functions

  • Functions as interdepartmental; liaison. Facilitates communication & corporation within and between hospital units and departments.
  • Manages and Completes employee hiring, training and ongoing evaluation functions. Re-enforces training and manages disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Maintains ICAEL registry at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center, St. Joseph's at Westgate and St. Joseph's Cancer Center.
  • Manages planning, implementing and evaluating hospital and/or unit objectives, standards and policies pertaining to activities of CVD personnel, budget, and materials/supplies.
  • Maintains and demonstrates technical knowledge at appropriate level through ongoing education and participation in professional organizations.
  • Attends training and in-services as needed and Maintains ICAEL requirements.
  • Assists in research programs by following protocol designed to test new FDA approved devices.
Job Requirements

Required

  • Bachelors degree or
  • Other and a combination of Education and or job related experience
  • Five years Registered Sonographer experience, with experience as Supervisor or Clinical Lead
  • Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer
