What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):
- Empathetic Care Provider: Provide comprehensive, compassionate, and culturally sensitive nursing care to patients during all stages of labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum.
- Assessment & Monitoring: Conduct thorough assessments of maternal and fetal well-being, monitoring vital signs, fetal heart tones, contractions, and progression of labor.
- Labor Support: Administer medications, manage pain relief options (e.g., epidurals, IV medications), provide comfort measures, and implement non-pharmacological pain management techniques.
- Delivery Assistance: Assist physicians and other healthcare professionals during vaginal births, C-sections, and other obstetric procedures.
- Newborn Care: Provide immediate care to newborns after delivery, including Apgar scoring, vital signs, initial assessments, and promoting skin-to-skin contact.
- Postpartum Care: Monitor mothers for postpartum complications (e.g., hemorrhage), provide incision care, and support initial breastfeeding efforts.
- Patient & Family Educator: Educate patients and their families on labor progression, pain management options, newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
Job Requirements
Required
- Registered Nurse: AZ, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 90 Days and
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 90 Days
Preferred
- Bachelors Of Nursing Graduate of an accredited school of nursing: BSN Preferred 1-3 years One year recent acute care experience, upon hire
