Clinical Informatics Analyst II – Inpatient Surgical & Innovative Technologies Support
The posted compensation range of $33.60 - $48.73 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
The Barrow Informatics Department is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Informatics Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role combines the responsibilities of a Clinical Informaticist and an Application Systems Analyst, requiring a unique blend of clinical knowledge, technical expertise, and analytical skills. Candidates should demonstrate expertise in Oracle Cerner SurgiNet or Epic OpTime EMR, proven experience with a range of hospital IT applications, and a commitment to leveraging innovative technologies for enhanced patient care.
The Analyst II handles moderately to highly complex work across multiple functional applications. This includes troubleshooting hardware, software, and system problems independently for one or more applications, serving as a subject matter expert for at least one application, and participating in assigned projects as a team member.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develops educational tools: paper handouts, courses, web site help pages, video instruction.
- Provides direct support for physicians, advanced practitioners, clinicians, and/or administrators in the use of facilities IT and technology resources.
- Leads small group or 1:1 training. Participates in large group training sessions.
- Anticipates and resolves routine and critical issues that arise within facility information systems of moderate to high complexity; provides input into the resolution and/or required functionality and/or system changes.
- Anticipates and resolves routine issues that arise and provides input into long-term system solutions and/or functionality updates.
- Coordinates physician, advanced practitioners, clinician, and/or administrator service requests and incident resolutions through the Enterprise Help Desk.
- Tracks, monitors, and enhances application usage.
- Provides visits to clinical departments, physician offices, and other business units, as needed to promote and maintain outstanding customer relationships.
- Provides increased visibility and support during all downtimes, planned and unplanned.
- Assesses ongoing end-users educational needs; develops and implements application training plans.
- Collaborates with the BNI Director of Informatics, BNI/SJHMC informatics staff, facility IT staff, and corporate IT staff, to optimize current and future information systems.
Qualifications
Education
Associates Degree or Other Technical School degree/certificate
Bachelor's Degree preferred
4-7 years experience in IT working on Ambulatory, clinical or audio/visual applications required
3-5 years working in a healthcare/medical environment preferred
