The posted compensation range of $87.81 - $122.93 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
Provides overall support for the operation of the Regional SVP’s office. Serves as a senior adviser to the Regional SVP and reports directly to the Regional SVP on a wide variety of administrative and executive duties, special projects and initiatives involving the Regional SVP’s office and associated priorities. With support of the Senior Executive Assistant and the-Board Coordinator, coordinates the execution of hospital projects undertaken by the Regional SVP as well as managing questions, concerns, issues and requests on the Regional SVP’s behalf. Works with all levels of leadership to identify and lead initiatives to ensure the region’s ability to achieve and exceed Living Our Mission Measures, operational, and clinical excellence initiatives. Serves as the liaison and point of contact for National services/functions/partners at the regional level of the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Management for the Office of the Regional SVP:
- Prepares and/or contributes to the preparation of reports, proposals, briefings, presentations and responses on hospital/market and strategic initiatives and/or issues.
- Lead the development and management of the budget of the Office of the Regional SVP.
- Prepare and facilitate communication from the Office of the Regional SVP.
- Build relationships to serve as a resource for the Regional SVP and point of contact as designated for hospital/market executive team to resolve issues and help move forward strategic priorities.
- Participate in meetings with executives, administrators and others as needed and delegated. Accurately represents the Regional SVP’s position in internal meetings and discussions to help drive understanding and move decision making.
- Attend executive meetings to ensure clear action items and follow-up after the meetings.
- Participate in the development of leadership events, including strategic planning sessions, operational planning sessions, Leadership Conferences, Regional Executive Council retreats, etc.
Strategic Initiatives for the Office of the Regional SVP:
Lead or co-lead discrete projects on behalf of the Regional SVP and the executive team.
Work with people at all levels of the organization, including National and Regional Executives, Market and hospital presidents, hospital leaders and staff to communicate the strategy and monitor and communicate progress on strategic initiatives.
Process Improvement and Project Management:
Lead and facilitate basic operational and business process improvement projects involving systems and/or business processes to achieve business goals and operational and clinical objectives. • For assigned projects, assess overall project and operational risks and develop mitigation plans; organize and facilitate working teams guiding them in the development and delivery of work product; establish and monitor project deadlines to ensure that the work is completed and all dependencies are considered; ensure communications between all the appropriate parties are effective and efficient; report to the project owners and/or champions.
Metrics and Analytics:
Design, collect, and analyze metrics/and data and provide written and verbal reports supporting critical decision making at the executive level.
Administrative Fellow Program Leadership:
Manage the administrative fellows.
Lead the Regional Administrative Fellowship Program including recruitment, onboarding and mentoring of Fellows.
Provides overall support to the office of the SVP of the Region and other duties as assigned at the discretion of the SVP of the Region.
Job Requirements
Education:
Master's Degree
Experience:
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience working in complex organizational environments, preferably health care.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience influencing and working closely with executive level leaders
Minimum Knowledge, Abilities and Training:
- Experience in a health care or academic medicine environment with a proven track record of developing effective partnerships across diverse groups to organize and facilitate decisions and ensure implementation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated judgment and diplomacy in working with diverse groups to address complex issues.
Ability to synthesize a large volume of data and information into an understandable and meaningful format.
Understanding and application of process improvement methodology, project management, organization and planning skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding and fast paced environment while meeting quick turnaround requirements.
Ability to manage and use discretion given the confidential nature of the position.
