The posted compensation range of $31.68 - $47.13 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
The role of Training & Scheduling Coordinator is an integral member of the Care Base multi-disciplinary team and will develop all aspects of the education curriculum for each of the care areas. Serves as a champion for process change activities for CommonSpirit Health Care Base. Helps define, along with the Care Base System Managers and Directors, the direction for all training and staffing efforts for the department initiatives. Leads the formulation of the plans for continuous training and development programs. Along with departmental leadership, identifies organizational and cross-organizational learning needs related to new/updated processes; coordinates resources and facilitates training activities to change the internal culture of the Care Base departments. Manages the internal training and development process to determine progress along the journey and establishes an effective sustainment education model. Acts as a catalyst for change and motivation. With the support of Care Base leadership, drives communication and internal marketing efforts regarding the need for education and development. Coordinates and manages relationships with leaders and partners with our staffing agencies either internal or external.
- Support to directors and managers in all Care Base teams to evaluate, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, and update educational programs for staff at all levels
- Identifies and Tracks needed job competencies
- Collaborates with leadership and subject matter experts for the development of necessary training
- Incorporates principles of adult learning in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of education programs
- Leads Care Base General Orientation and continuing education programs
- Performs regular orientee and preceptor check-ins
- Plans, prepares and maintains materials for use in educational programs for accuracy and relevance to the target audience
- Ensures all orientation checklists are completed and tracked in a timely fashion
- Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming
- Teaches content as needed and/or assigned within expertise to facilitate orientation, staff development and/or safe or best-practices
- Interprets and communicates across multiple disciplines
- Promotes a safe and healthy work environment
- Manages and updates the staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for each shift
- Ensures timely opening of staff schedule in TEAM
- Review each unit schedules prior to final posting date with the unit Director/Manager
- Monitor the Schedule Changes email box and timely update schedules in TEAM and on any printed sheets
- Tracks time and attendance and escalates to the unit Director/Manager if issues arise.
- Collaborates with the unit Directors, Manager, Care Base RNs and Sr. PLCs to ensure any sick calls or tardy are documented and backfill
- Other duties as assigned to support Care Base growth and improvement in patient care and flow
Job Requirements
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum two years of experience in training, office coordination, staffing, or schedule management required;
- Minimum five years highly preferred.
- TEAM or other time/attendance/scheduling applications, Google Workspace, preferred, Cerner/Epic or other EHR, TeleTracking/Grand Central or other Bed Management systems
- Maintains flexibility when managing multiple roles and responsibilities
