The posted compensation range of $19.25 - $26.95 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. You'll process referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications, acting as the crucial link between patients and their healthcare needs.
You will:
- Comprehensive Referral Management: Gather, verify, and process referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications, collaborating with physicians, patients, and payers.
- Patient Communication & Support: Answer patient questions on healthcare plans, billing, and insurance; communicate denials or additional info needs.
- Appointment & Logistics Coordination: Set up appointments, coordinate clinic visits, and arrange special services (transportation, interpreter).
- Interdepartmental Liaison: Coordinate information flow between clinic and referral department for valid referrals.
- Accurate Documentation: Enter referrals, communications, and actions meticulously into the system.
- Proactive Problem Resolution: Assist Practice Manager with complaint resolution related to referrals.
- Resource Development: Maintain database of preferred referral physician offices.

Qualifications

- Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Preferred: Two (2) years of progressively responsible related experience in a healthcare environment.
