Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Central Services Technician, you will be a vital link in patient care, ensuring the highest quality, sterile instrumentation is always available to medical teams.
Every day, you will meticulously process and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment, assembling trays, conducting quality checks, and maintaining inventory. You'll provide excellent service to patients, physicians, and staff, ensuring tools are safe and ready for procedures.
To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a rigorous commitment to sterilization protocols, working efficiently and expertly to support optimal outcomes.
- Gather, clean, and sterilize surgical equipment and supplies.
- Examine, operate, and maintain sterilizing machines such as steam autoclaves.
- Stock surgical tools and supplies.
- Prepare, wrap, and organize equipment into instrument trays for use during medical procedures.
- Maintain detailed records of sterilization procedures, equipment maintenance, and supplies.
- Inspect equipment for damage and ensure that supplies have not expired.
Job Requirements
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Other Graduated from an accredited CPD Technician Program
- One of the following:
- Certified and Registered Central Service Technician
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Supervisor
- Certified Sterile Processing and Dist Tech
- Cert Sterile Processing Dist Tech
Preferred
- Certified Instrument Specialist
