Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Surgery Scheduler, you will be a critical orchestrator of complex operational logistics, ensuring seamless alignment of resources, personnel, and services.

Every day, you will expertly manage intricate scheduling and resource allocation while meticulously entering and maintaining data. You will also produce schedules, and oversee template maintenance.

To be successful in this role, you will possess exceptional organizational skills, meticulous attention to detail, strong communication, and proficiency with scheduling systems. Your proactive approach and commitment to operational precision are paramount.

What you'll do...

  • Sets priorities and organizes work
  • Schedules patient procedures to ensure efficient and accurate processing of information
  • Coordinates with anesthesia group to confirm scheduling for coverage
  • Accurately uses procedure codes to ensure proper billing
  • Verifies information being entered into system is correct, i.e. spelling of name, DOB, gender, insurance information, etc
  • Ensuring all necessary paperwork for any patient-add on is received by the appropriate staff

Job Requirements

  • High School or equivalent required. 


Preferred

  • One year experience where the primary function of the position was utilizing an automated block scheduling system to schedule the use of hospital operating rooms.
  • Meditech and/or Epic experience preferred.
