The posted compensation range of $19.24 - $24.85 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) in our dynamic Emergency Room and ICU, you will be a cornerstone of patient care, directly contributing to comfort, safety, and recovery by providing essential support under Registered Nurse direction. Your dedication will be vital in helping us deliver rapid, high-quality care to patients in their most crucial moments.
Every day, you will deliver compassionate basic care, assist with patient transport, perform vital sign monitoring, and actively contribute to the patient's plan of care as a vital member of our interdisciplinary team, upholding the highest standards of conduct and patient well-being in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Provide essential direct patient care including assisting with ADLs, personal care, feeding, and comfort measures, ensuring patient dignity and well-being.
- Monitor and document vital signs and other patient data (e.g., intake/output, weight), promptly reporting any significant changes to the nursing staff.
- Assist with patient mobility and transport, safely transferring and ambulating patients, and preparing them for examinations, procedures, and discharge.
- Support clinical procedures under RN direction, including basic wound care, specimen collection, and assisting with application of medical devices.
- Maintain an organized and safe Emergency Department environment, including stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and ensuring unit readiness.
- Collaborate effectively with the healthcare team, communicating patient needs, supporting rapid patient flow, and adhering to all safety and hospital policies.
Required
- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant from the state of Minnesota
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) to be obtained within 30 Days
Preferred
- Experience in inpatient medical/surgical setting
