The posted compensation range of $53.98 - $78.28 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Responsibilities
Clinical Education Manager
This position contributes to the fulfillment of CommonSpirit Health's mission and vision by planning, organizing, implementing and directing resources in assigned areas of centralized nursing education. This position contributes to the centralized education, training and development goals and objectives based on evaluation of organization and individual needs. Facilitates resources to deliver education, training and development programs. Under the leadership of the Market Director, works to ensure consistent and effective delivery of education programs that meet the evolving needs of the organization.
- Authority to interview, hire, orient, terminate, promote, train and conduct performance evaluations.
- Manage performance including: setting goals, clarifying job expectations, monitoring performance progress, providing feedback, recognizing, developing skills and addressing performance issues related to work and our commitments using corrective action.
- Assigns day to day work activities; directs the functional and technical job performance of team members; professionally communicates with team members.
- Provides support and leadership for projects and initiatives to support onboarding and clinical education and training across multiple markets. Supports nursing education throughout the region, providing direction in evidence based practice, research, and overall strategies.
- Participates in interdisciplinary meetings and projects (e.g. with pharmacy, therapy, quality, etc.) to ensure best practice, exceptional care of patients across the Market(s).
- Monitors and assesses current operations/identifies opportunities and provides recommendations to stakeholders for performance/process improvements initiatives; implements approved changes and ensures that staff receive the necessary training to perform in concert with performance improvement initiatives.
- Interprets, and monitors compliance with, applicable internal/external legal and regulatory agreements, standards, requirements; keeps abreast of changing regulatory requirements/regulations and competitive industry practices impacting assigned functions, as well as organizational initiatives/changes with potential to impact current operations; monitors impact on existing activities and identifies/implements effective response/solution while maintaining acceptable service levels and work quality.
- Supports academic mission through oversight of clinical student placements, partnerships, programs and collaboration throughout the markets,
- Collaborates with leadership providing detailed information and updates related to department operations.
- Monitors operations of department productivity and budget in collaboration with the director.
- Ensures optimal utilization of department resources within guidelines set forth through capital and operational budget planning.
- Participates in annual budget planning and administration relative to assigned responsibilities; monitors work schedules to control overtime, monitors/approves expenditures within defined scope of responsibility; explains variances and addresses in a timely manner; keeps higher level management informed of issues with potential for budgetary impact.
Qualifications
Required Bachelor’s degree in Nursing. Master’s Degree in Nursing or related healthcare field.
Current license as RN in Nebraska, Iowa or multi-state compact license.
Basic Life Support is required upon hire.Acceptable credentialing bodies and certifications include the following: American Heart Association: Basic Life Support.
