The posted compensation range of $69.12 - $82.82 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer), you will utilize advanced sonographic equipment to record detailed images of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses, including unborn fetuses, providing critical visual data for diagnosis and prenatal care.
Every day you will directly interact with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and preparing them for scans. You will meticulously operate sonographic equipment, adjusting settings and patient positions to ensure clear, diagnostic images. You will monitor and care for patients to ensure their safety and comfort, select and examine images for pathologies, and present preliminary findings to Physicians.
To be successful in this role, you will possess excellent patient service and communication skills, sharp eyesight, and meticulous attention to detail. You will demonstrate strong technical proficiency, sound judgment, and advanced decision-making skills to effectively capture and interpret sonographic data, ensuring optimal diagnostic support.
- Transfers and positions patients. Measurement: Observation, Feedback.
- Performs Ultrasound procedures in accordance with department standards and in keeping with the orders of the referring physician. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors.
- Demonstrates knowledge of Ultrasound protocols for Section and the ability to accurately apply principles to work. Keeps current on changes/new techniques, etc./ in ultrasound sonography. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors.
- Interviews patients for pertinent medical history and obtains consents on patients prior to performing studies as required. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors.
- Uses sterile technique and prevents cross-contamination. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors.
- Orders and maintains supplies at an acceptable level in assigned area as needed. Measurement: Observation, Feedback, Inventory.
- Other graduate from a CAAHEP accredited Sonography program. and More than one year experience inAbdomen or OB/Gyn., upon hire and
- Other Must be current with continuing education units required by the licensing board of theARDMS and Must have recent (within the last 6months) hands-on scanning experienceeither as an ultrasound student or as asonographer, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Breast, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or
- Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Neurosonology, upon hire or

Preferred
