The posted compensation range of $33.42 - $41.77 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Labor Delivery Scrub Tech, you will actively participate as a team member during the preoperative, intra-opertative and postoperative phases of obstetrical surgical procedures and vaginal deliveries.
Every day, you will demonstrate basis patient care skills, stock supplied and take vital signs.
To be successful in this role, you must posess and demonstrate intermediate or advanced skills in operating room technology and proficient knowledge of surgical procedures.
- Demonstrates basic patient care skills, including, but not limited to hygiene, takes vital signs, weights, accurately measures I&O, documents appropriately on designated forms and in computer; lifts, moves and transports patients safely and positions infants using developmentally supportive knowledge.
- Consistently demonstrates the principles of aseptic technique according to policy and procedure guidelines.
- Collects and delivers urine, stool and pathology specimens according to current procedures, utilizing universal precautions.
- Consistently demonstrates proper care and handling of instruments and equipment.
- Consistently stocks and maintains department supplies.
Requirements
- High School Graduate General Studies, upon hire or
- High School GED General Studies, upon hire and
- A minimum of one (1) year recent hospital experience (or equivalent) in the capacity of: a) an Operating Room Technician, b) an OB Scrub Tech, or c) an OB Tech; ormust have all of the following: a) received practical education at St. John's surgicaldepartment within the last six (6) months, b) above average performance duringpractical education, and c) completion of a Surgical Technologist training program. and
- Certified Surgical Technologist, upon hire or
- Technologist in Surgery-Certified, upon hire
Preferred Requirements
- Successful completion of an ORTechnician Training program
