Responsibilities
- Work closely with management with daily operations of the food bank, including inventory management, ordering, receiving, and storage of food donations.
- Build and maintain relationships with local food banks, community organizations, and individual donors to secure regular food donations.
- Track food donations, distribution, and program utilization to ensure efficient operations and program effectiveness.
- Develop and implement outreach strategies to raise awareness of the food bank within the hospital and the community.
- Ensure the food bank is clean, organized, and adheres to all safety and sanitation regulations.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in health service provider or community-based health organization
- AA degree in health related area preferred, or comparable experience in lieu of degree will be accepted
- CA Driver License - DRV LIC
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs or more
- ServSafe Certification required. ( 90 days to obtain from start date)
- Fluent in Spanish/English
