St. John's Regional Medical Center is seeking a compassionate and organized individual to join our team as a Food Bank Coordinator. This position plays a vital role in ensuring that our local community have access to nutritious food during their time of need.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with management with daily operations of the food bank, including inventory management, ordering, receiving, and storage of food donations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local food banks, community organizations, and individual donors to secure regular food donations.
  • Track food donations, distribution, and program utilization to ensure efficient operations and program effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies to raise awareness of the food bank within the hospital and the community.
  • Ensure the food bank is clean, organized, and adheres to all safety and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in health service provider or community-based health organization
  • AA degree in health related area preferred, or comparable experience in lieu of degree will be accepted
  • CA Driver License - DRV LIC
  • Must be able to lift 25 lbs or more
  • ServSafe Certification required. ( 90 days to obtain from start date)
  • Fluent in Spanish/English
