The posted compensation range of $25.00 - $25.00 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Environmental Services Tech, you will actively perform a variety of cleaning tasks necessary to maintain and improve the appearance and sanitary conditions of all campuses.
Every day, you will clean and disinfect patient rooms, exam rooms, restrooms, and common areas following hospital infection-control standards. Safely handle, transport, and dispose of bio-hazard waste, regular trash, and linens according to regulatory guidelines.
To be successful in this role, you will operate cleaning equipment including floor scrubbers, vacuums, and disinfectant sprayers.
- Converse, comprehend and communicate verbally in English.
- Respond to cleaning requests from nursing units, clinical staff, and supervisors in a timely manner.
- Restock supplies such as hand sanitizer, paper products, soap and PPE in assigned areas.
- Work tactfully and effectively with team members, patients and visitors.
- Maintain confidentiality of issues and materials designed as such.
Required
- Experience utilizing basic housekeeping practices and procedures
- Proper handling/disposal of infectious waste.
- Proper safety skills in handling of housekeeping chemicals.
Preferred
- Acute health-care work experience involving the use of heavy equipment such as buffers, extractors, wide area vacuums, and wet vacuums
